Karen Parker, CEO

Karen Parker is a management professional and exceptional leader with over 30 years of experience in business development, project management, energy operations and engineering. Having worked in numerous industries including; pipelines, utilities, manufacturing, renewable power generation, upstream oil and gas and shipbuilding. She has undertaken analysis of over $900M in development projects related to pipelines, gas distribution and renewable power generation in Canada, the UK, Mexico and Australia. Recently she supported a partnership with an Albert Indigenous Nation to explore the development of a solar power generation facility on their lands.

Karen’s diverse industry knowledge has her well positioned to find innovative solutions for any challenge. Through her lens, she sees opportunities and guides her team to be diligent, resourceful and creative to reach the right solutions resulting in successful partnerships.

Shane Savard, Director Engineering

Mr. Savard is a Professional Engineer with over 30 years of experience in design, construction, operations, maintenance, and health and safety in pipeline transmission across North America. He has a history of affecting positive changes to resolve persistent legacy issues and implement long-term sustainable improvements and processes is supported by skills in Project Management, Quality Management and Control Systems. With strong technical expertise and project leadership acumen, Shane brings the skills and experience to effectively lead teams to efficiently execute projects to meet clients business needs.

Rob Pryor, Director of Business Development and Client Relations

A resourceful and thorough business developer with more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry, Robert has a proven track record of delivering successes for his clients. Entrepreneurial by nature, Robert looks for creative and practice solutions for project execution. 

In addition, his project management and understanding of regulatory and permitting requirements at all levels provides valuable expertise for the integration and coordination for pipeline engineering, regulatory processes and environmental permitting. ON behalf of his clients, Robert has successfully supported application submissions for project on crown and freehold lands and First Nation lands in both British Columbia and Alberta.


Allen Brown, Director of Projects

A pipeline specialist, Allen’s more than 25 years’ experience in the oil and gas industry makes him a valuable resource to all areas of pipeline design. Providing technical support and leadership on projects, clients benefit from his broad range of skills. Ranging from buoyancy control design, crossing design, soils specialist, pipeline inspector, and drafting lead.

Allen has been active in all phases of pipeline work from initial design to construction and as-built reporting. Whatever the diameter or length of the project, it is likely that Allen has worked on it. 

Michelle Johnston, Director of Finance

With almost 20 years of financial management, accounting, risk management and human resources, Michelle Johnston monitors all financial matters to provide oversight and guidance on company wide financial strategies. With her continuous monitoring of treasury functions she efficiently liaises with clients regarding current and forecasted project key performance indicators

Frank Lauer, Director Engineering Project Technology

Frank Lauer is a Senior Mechanical Engineer and Project Manager with more than 33 years of oil and gas experience. Mr. Lauer has led EPCM teams of 10 to 60 professionals working on oil and gas projects of all sizes in all four Western Canadian Provinces.

Mr. Lauer provides technical subject matter expertise focusing on gas pipeline engineering, operations and maintenance to the ONECONNECT project teams. Frank has managed grass roots construction projects, de-bottlenecking, and facility upgrades at sweet and sour gas plants and oil batteries. Committed to learning and problem solving, Mr. Lauer has broad experience and training in the areas of environmental construction best practices, personal safety practices, safety auditing and environmental due diligence. He brings great value to the safe, efficient and effective execution of projects to ensure client’s satisfaction.
